The most straightforward route from Salzburg airport is via the motorway, taking the route into Germany and then turning south near Rosenheim and over the Austria border into the Inn valley and along to Jenbach and the Ziller valley. Another option is using the route Salzburg-Lofer-Wörgl through a small section of Germany and then country roads through Ellmau and Söll. The route joins onto the first option at Wörgl on the Inn valley motorway.
